handy things found in cfeclipse

I thought I'd start a post relating to useful shortcuts etc I've discovered using cfeclipse for my development work. I don't know how much of this will actually be cfeclipse specific or a feature of other plugins I have installed...or even a feature of eclipse itself...I'm not interested in writing a manual here, I just wanted to post some handy stuff that maybe other people will find useful too. The first handy thing I found was the "Link with editor" button in the Navigator tab...this was something that dreamweaver did automatically and that I'd missed when opting for an eclipse environment....the bonus is I can now choose to switch it on or off...choice is king! next up is a couple of shortcuts i've discovered...the first is to add a HTML comment, select the html you want to comment and press ctrl+shift+c....job done!...and for a coldfusion comment press ctrl+shift+m ...can't be easier than that can it? will add more as I discover them, feel free to join in though.

East Coast Interactive Scalextrix

Friday afternoon and we'd been eye balling Stuart's scalextric set for a while....sod it...lets build it!

It's more difficult than I remember but definitely worth the effort of construction...took all of us a silly length of time to put it together but we got there in the end!

Perfect way to round off another very very busy week!

Foo Fighters Aberdeen gig

"why did it take us 13 years to come to Aberdeen?"...well said Dave Grohl! Absolutely superb gig played at the Aberdeen Exibition centre, this is not the first time that I've seen the Foo Fighters, nor will it be the last. My opinion of them is that they're not the sort of band I'd ordinarily sit and listen to, however, stick them up on stage live and I'd listen to them all night. I honestly cant rate them highly enough for their live performance. And I'm glossing over the fact that some theiving git stole my jacket, it dropped on the floor behind me, so I waited for the crowd to thin out before spending 10 mins scouring the hall for it...nope...gone....still...great gig!

fitness drive has started

So you'll remember me posting previously about stopping smoking and how this time, I was just going to stop mincing about with patches, gum etc and just quit? I am today celebrating one month! Seems that all you need to do is to get into the right frame of mind, convince yourself its easy and off you go. People who know smokers will know that when they quit, they invariably head off on some kind of detox/healthy eating/fitness crusade....and I'm happy to say that I'm no different! Last night I went to the gym for an hour, tonight I'm going running and on Friday I'm playing 5-a-side football. What's my secret to stopping smoking?...its easy...you just quit one day but also make sure that you continually tell everyone you know, your friends, family, colleagues, peers etc that its "the easiest thing I've ever done"..."only losers couldn't quit smoking" etc etc, that way, if you ever feel the urge to smoke, you know that word will get out immediately to everyone you know that you failed and your life will be a misery as they remind you of everything you said....patches?...pah! try sticking your reputation on the line!
